Steve Solomon's PNW Planting Calendar



Early Febuary: Transplant asparagus roots.
Late Febuary: sow peas, favas, spinach.

Early March: sow peas, favas, spinach, asparagus seed, mustard, asian greens, radishes, parsley, bulb onions, scallions (all month)
Late March: transplant earliest broccoli and cabbage seedlings. Sow some potaoes under cover.

Early April: sow peas, scallions, summer spinach, beets, turnips, radishes, kholrabi, chard, carrots, lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, parsley, sorrel, cauliflower, potatoes.
Transplant earliest cauliflower.
Late April: transplant onion seedlings and early leeks.
Sow celery and celeriac.

Early May: Sow cauliflower, cabbage, beets, radishes, chard, carrots, lettuce, broccoli, winter leek nursey bed, scallion, potato, lettuce (all month)
Late May: Sow snap bean, squash, basil, dill, dry bean, sweet corn.
Transplant tomato, celery, celeriac

Early June: sow cukes, summer squash, melon, snap bean, beet, carrot, lettuce, broccoli, fall and winter cabbage, brussels, cauliflower, scallions
Late June: Transplant pepper and eggplant.

Early July: sow lettuce (all month). Sow parsnips, carrots, summer beets, fall cauliflower, bush snap bean, scallion.
Transplant winter leeks (all month)
Late July: Sow rutabaga, kale, winter beet, spinach, overwintering broccoli.

Early August: Sow endive, spinach (all month). Sow cauliflower, loose leaf lettuce.
Late August: Sow overwintering bulb onions.

Early September: Sow endive, mache, garlic, shallot, field turnips.
Late September:

Early October: Sow green manures, fava, crimson clover, field pea (all month):
